Collection: Jude McKenna
My abstract landscape paintings are not necessarily grounded in the reality of a place, but are often imagined, with an occasional, tenuous link to a real place or memory. They are meditative atmospheric spaces, almost inner landscapes, which are emotional responses to memories or my feelings about a place I may have been to, dreamed, or imagined. Half remembered, half forgotten. I'm attempting to draw you in to my abstracted space, to immerse you visually, so you may decide what you see and what that means to you. You may feel mists or stillness, changing weather, showers, breezes. Hopefully you may have and emotional response. There is often water, and always light.
I graduated with a degree in fine art (painting) from Cheltenham art school as a mature student in the year 2000, and have exhibited in galleries and art fairs throughout the UK continuously since .
