Collection: Gareth Jones

 Gareth was born and raised in North Wales and has emerged as an internationally acclaimed pastel artist in recent years.

Art school trained at Flintshire and Loughborough colleges, and formerly a graphic designer, he switched to the world of fine art in 2010. His early works were painted in acrylics, but seven years ago Gareth discovered the wonderful medium of soft pastel and in 2021 became an Associate Artist of Unison Colour, the world-renowned manufacturer of soft pastels. Later the same year, he was elected as a Signature Member of The Pastel Society of America.

Winner of several international awards, he has exhibited at the Mall Galleries, London with both the Royal Society of Marine Artists and The Pastel Society. Working now exclusively in soft pastel, he has become a passionate advocate of his chosen medium, demonstrating and teaching workshops across the UK and Europe. His work features in many private collections throughout the world.

His main inspirations are the sea and coastal environs, and he is increasingly drawn to landscapes. He is constantly inspired by the beauty of nature and his works radiate passion, energy and light.
